The food is at a fair price. It makes want more. The only downside is that the wait staff do not not interact with you as much. Otherwise, a great place to dine.

Great home made comfort food including habanero tots with cheese and my favorite bowl of chilli! They also have a great rotating selection of beers. The staff is always friendly and fast making it a perfect experience.

We have been here many times in the past and thought it was a great place to hang out and enjoy some dive bar food, but the last time we were here we were treated so badly by the staff (specifically the bar tender) that we will never return. There are many more options nearby, and this place is no longer one of those options for us.

This will be a weird review because the food we had there was wonderful and tasty; the service while I was I was waiting for my to go order was good. The main issue is they gave us the wrong food order. We were on the road going to our next destination before we realized we had the wrong order, so going back was not possible. I am going to chalk it up to too many orders at the same time or a shift change, so the star review recognizes our unusual situation.Again the food we had was really good and I was quite impressed with all the dishes we eat. Maybe next we will just eat there instead.

I usually love this place. Poor service and my burger (usually best in town) was over cooked. Waiter never even came to offer another round or how was the meal.

Went in sat ourself as the sign stated to do after 10 minutes a waitress dropped some menus on our table without saying a word walked to the next table handed them their menus and took their drink orders. We waited another 15 minutes no drink order taken, no one came to our table. 2 other people arrived they got menus immediatly and drink orders taken. After another 5 minutes or so we got up and walked out...no one said a word.

This is my go to bar in Anacortes! Never go anywhere else. Great food, great drinks, the best staff in town!

Cold fries, basic food trying to be eclectic ( who puts cucumbers on a burger?), bad servers, just overall plain and not very good. Regrettable

We had a nice meal here, only downside was the live band they had going in the bar area. Not the best. The food was good, had burgers and chicken wings. Had a tater tot dish also with a spicy cheese sauce on top, it was very tasty i have to say. They had a nice beer selection also, will need to try more to get a full taste. It is open till 930p for kids, then adults only after that.

Too bad the Browns gone downhill over the past year. We’re local and like supporting local businesses. On a not crowded Sunday night, service was ok , fish and chips cold and greasy and Ruben tasted like it was frozen and nuked. Decent folks just disappointed in the food. John

It's a great place downtown to grab a drink, meet people, and just enjoy some music.

Totally phenomenal, service was excellent, vegetarian Greek sliders were so incredible, really a nice place and great vibe. Reuben was just done right. Fries are some of the best in the industry, not just normal but perfect crisp and taste.

Below average, very plain. Everything taste like it was reheated in a microwave. Definitely not coming back and definitely not recommending this place to anybody.

A great local Pub. Beer on tap, and in bottles, wide selection of food; good burgers. Great onion rings. Yes, they have Guinness on tap.Unique setting, with a comfortable funky decor in an old brick building. A local icon.Table seating for families on one side, wrap around bar seating all around, and even rustic "back patio" seating out back. Open mic on Thursdays.

Good place. Got the pulled pork didn't knock my socks off. But they have a large selection of beers with good locals on tap.

Excellent! Some of the best fish and chips I've had, super crispy and we were able to get sweet potato waffle fries with it - delicious! Prices very reasonable considering the area. All the guys working there were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back next time we're visiting!

Daily combo for lunch with 1/2 pastrami swiss on rye and 1/2 salad. Salad was greens, cheddar, bacon, tomato, onion. Salad was fresh, lots of bacon, delicious. Sandwich was great too. Combo was just the right size and a bargain at $10.50

I headed there because I was told about a year ago that it was my buddy's favorite place for a burger.So I may have been not as pleased as I should have been based on my built up expectations.That being said, the burger was good. But the bar was rad and the service was really really good.

Great place for happy hour, burgers, sandwiches, wings, and other bites while you watch the game. They have a family friendly dining room on one side and a bar on the other. Fantastic selection of local brews and ciders, as well as an excellent selection of cocktails. Fast and friendly service.

Awesome food, great drink selection with nitro on tap. Atmosphere is fun and energetic while still being chill, and the exposed beams really set it apart.

Excellent fish tacos served with a smile. Excellent value with great character. Definately will be visiting again when next in the area. Well worth a visit for no frills good meal.

Typical pub grub, one of the few places to be open on the fourth of july. Nice decor indoors with loads of game memorabilia and knick-knacks. The server was very friendly and our food arrived quickly. The portions are very good compared to the price. Overall great experience.

The Brown Lantern is always our first stop in Anacortes. Fantastic food, good service, good beers, good people. Do yourself a favor and swing in here for some good times.

The Brown Lantern is the quntiscental sports bar in Anacortis. Excellent brews, great food and TVs everywhere. The veggie burger with endless fries was nice. The pulled pork with house Cole slaw was amazing and the "hot-tots" (habanero sauce) were spicy and delicious. The Port Townsend Scotch Ale was dark, rich and flavorful and at $5.50 a great deal with glasses filled to the very brim. Happy hour is 3-6 pm every day where beers are an even better deal at $4. Service was a little slow when we were there (during a Seahawks game) but it's all good.
